April 20, 2004, Hollywood, CA -- The Hollywood Film Festival will
mark its triumphant return on October 12, 2004, to the prestigious Arclight
Cinemas in Hollywood for an eight annual, weeklong series of screenings,
seminars, competitions, awards, and other unique festivities.
The 8th Annual Hollywood Film Festival is proud to announce its alliance
with Filmfestivals.com and its focus on celebrating European Cinema during
the festival.

The Hollywood European Awards' initiative is comprised of the EUROPEAN
FILM SHOWCASE and the HOLLYWOOD EUROPEAN AWARDS.
The HOLLYWOOD EUROPEAN AWARDS will be bestowed to European actors, directors
and producers during the prestigious HOLLYWOOD AWARDS(R) GALA CEREMONY,
which will take place Monday, October 18, at the Beverly Hilton hotel
in Beverly Hills.
A Blue Ribbon Selection Committee of European judges will select ten
(10) films to be nominated from a list of up to 40 European films that
have been released from September 1, 2003, to September 1, 2004, in their
country of origin. The Hollywood European Awards' winners will be selected
by the members of the Hollywood Film Festival judging committee.
The HOLLYWOOD EUROPEAN SHOWCASE is comprised of features, documentaries
and shorts that will be screened during the Hollywood Film Festival.

This year alone, a total of 24 Academy Awards(R) nominations and 4 Oscars(R)
were given to our showcased films, nominees and honorees of last year's
Hollywood Awards, including Johnny Depp's nomination for best actor. In
prior years, we have had major successes with Academy nominations and
wins for our films, nominees and honorees (Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman
and others).

Additionally, the film festival incorporates in its activities the Hollywood
Film Conference and the Hollywood Film Screenings.
