FILMFESTIVALS TO LAUNCH
MAJOR ONLINE FILM SPACE
AT CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2001
FILMFESTIVALS.COM NAMES CARLA DIAMOND VICE PRESIDENT, TELEVISION
AND BROADBAND PRODUCTIONS BERLIN

Filmfestivals.com, the leading online server for film festivals
around the world, has appointed Carla Diamond as Vice President,
Television and Broadband Productions, based in Paris, it is announced
by Filmfestivals President, Malo Girod de l'Ain and COO Bruno Chatelin.
Diamond was formerly Vice President of Development and a producer
with Stone Canyon Entertainment/MGM where her credits included Swingers
and Welcome to Hollywood.
Prior to that, she was an independent film and television producer
working with such companies as MTV, VH-1, Turner Classic Movies,
HBO, Showtime and E! Entertainment, as well as being a production
and sales consultant for Virgo Entertainment.
In her new position, Diamond will be responsible for the editorial
content and production of FilmfestivalsTV.com's
new monthly half-hour syndicated television program covering star,
filmmaker and celebrity interviews and events at the world's leading
film festivals.
The january issue covered Palm Springs, Sundance, Rotterdam and
prominent talent interviews. She will also play a leading role in
the development of Filmfestivals.com's online world premieres of
feature-length festival films for broadband users, which was begun
at this year's Sundance Film Festival with the launch of six online
world premieres.
Stated Malo Girod de l'Ain: "We are excited about the new

delighted to have an executive with Carla's ability and experience
join us. She will be prominent in helping us build a new way to
experience movies with online interactivity."

Bruno Chatelin comments " Somehow the match between Carla's experience
and Filmfestivals scope seemed totally obvious at first glance almost
like E! MTV meets the net frontier " Filmfestivals.com, the world's
largest film festival server with offices in France, the USA, U.K.
and Italy, was founded by Malo Girod de l'Ain, president, in 1995
when it created the first website for the Cannes International Film
Festival. The site now lists mre than 1,000 film festivals worldwide,
and has extensive online tools to help festival organizers, filmmakers,
producers, distributors in such areas as marketing, film registration,
web presence and ticket sales. FilmfestivalsTV was launched at last
year's Berlin Film Festival with video coverage of major festivals.
FilmfestivalsTV produces a monthly TV show, Non Stop Film Festivals,
for worldwide syndication.
