The january issue covered Palm Springs, Sundance, Rotterdam and prominent talent interviews. Stated Malo Girod de l'Ain: "We are excited about the new developments that Filmfestivals is pursuing in these areas and we're delighted to have an executive with Carla's ability and experience join us. She will be prominent in helping us build a new way to experience movies with online interactivity."

Carla Diamond stated: "Filmfestivals.com has established itself as a leader in its field and this is a tremendous opportunity to move forward in an exciting new area of the entertainment industry." Bruno Chatelin comments " Somehow the match between Carla's experience and Filmfestivals scope seemed totally obvious at first glance almost like E! MTV meets the net frontier " Filmfestivals.com, the world's largest film festival server with offices in France, the USA, U.K. and Italy, was founded by Malo Girod de l'Ain, president, in 1995 when it created the first website for the Cannes International Film Festival.
