Filmfestivals Entertainment Group inaugurates with the support
of Jean Jacques Beineix the launching of " The Director's Cut
" on its bouquet of international websites.
Created in 1995, the French based company has confirmed its leadership
position in the news field related to festivals, films and professionals
who take part in it.
The goal of this this series inaugurated by Jean-Jacques Beineix
and entitled
" The Director's Cut " is the discovery of a festival
through the vision of a renowned filmmaker.
On the occasion of the Hong Kong International Film Festival (from
the 6 to April 21), which devotes a retrospective to him, Jean-Jacques
Beineix will write a diary illustrated with photographs. Questioned
on this new exercise, Jean-Jacques Beineix declares: " "I
find the Internet most intriguing and I've been frequenting film
festivals for more than twenty years, so how could I resist the
idea of following festivals as a cyber-reporter for Filmfestivals.com?
The idea seemed too perfect and I immediately accepted the challenge
(
) Festivals are venues that nurture encounters, exchanges
and discoveries. The adventure begins..."
Malo Girod de l'Ain (President) point outs that " with 1.500
significant festivals in the world, festivals news is extraordinarily
rich. We treat it with passion and we are particularly proud that
a man of arts and of the quality of Jean-Jacques Beineix agreed
to share his daily vision of a great festival "
Bruno Chatelin (COO) adds " FilmFestivals contributes to the
discovery of young talents derived from the circuit of the festivals
and we are honoured
that Jean Jacques endorses our endeavour.
The fact that this great festival pays a tribute to a French author,
needs also to be emphasized."
Stephanie Ronnet (Business Development Manager) states that "
FilmFestivals innovates once again, by giving total freedom of speech
to the filmmakers by providing original information meant for the
net and film buffs. The magic of the web allows this initiative
to spread all over the world thanks to the significant partnerships
we signed; such as Lycos, Yahoo, CNN and so on "
Filmfestivals will continue these rendez-vous at many other international
