FILMFESTIVALS.COM CHOOSES AKAMAI TO LAUNCH ONLINE INTERACTIVE FILM

Interactive Content To Accompany Features
Paris April 5, 2001- For the launch of its online interactive film
portal, Filmfestivals.com has selected Akamai's FreeFlow content
delivery service to provide fast and reliable delivery of its films.
Akamai's FreeFlow service delivers Filmfestivals.com's films and
videos to its online audience with enhanced performance and reliability
and optimizes the website's performance even during peak traffic
periods, it is announced by Filmfestivals president, Malo Girod
de l'Ain, and COO Bruno Chatelin.
Filmfestivals.com is launching its online interactive film portal
with a catalog of award winning films from the festival circuit
and world premieres of films ahead of their theatrical window.
Films are shown in a unique technological environment allowing interactive
content to enrich the film screening experience. These will include
for each film background interviews with stars and filmmakers, stills,
festival track records, dedicated forum, chat rooms, film quiz,
and film soundtrack elements.
The server's broadband portal, FilmfestivalsTV.com, will also netcast
a wide range of broadband content such as award winners short films,
exclusive interviews

First slate of films premiered online earlier during Sundance
Rotterdam, Berlin include film presented and winning numerous awards
at festivals running from Sundance to Moscow, San Sebastian, Karlovy
Vary, Geneva
FilmfestivalsTV.com will premiere one new film per day during Cannes
Film Festival.
By the end of this year the catalog will include over 300 titles
and hundreds of short films.
