The Trenton Film Society (TFS) seeks an accomplished leader to oversee production of independent film events and programs in the historic core of Trenton, New Jersey’s capital city.  The Trenton Film Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring audiences and filmmakers together to better enjoy the art of filmmaking, with a focus on new work.   Founded in 2003, the TFS is currently in the midst of organizing the 5th Annual Trenton Film Festival which will screen approximately 90 films in 4 venues from May 2-4, 2008. 

Candidates will have experience in management of non-profit arts organizations, fundraising, marketing, events management, film theater management, filmmaking or equivalent.  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communications skills, creative vision, knowledge of film, and the ability to develop an all volunteer organization into an organization with a small paid staff and a strong volunteer component.  The Producing Artistic Director will be the ‘artistic director’ as well as the ‘executive director’ performing management and fundraising, as well as creative functions. 

Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in Film, Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations or related field.  Prefer five years experience in film, non-profit arts or related field. 

Salary starts initially in 30’s with lots of room to grow as organization programs and fundraising grows.
