Ambulante Documentary Film Festival

Ambulante Documentary Film Festival is a travelling documentary film festival that tours all over Mexico for three months reaching an audience of 100,000 people with an international programme of more than 80 titles. The festival hosts guests from all over the world that participate in conferences, seminars, encounters with the audience, and screenings in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues across the country. 

Since 2011, it also showcases a a series of documentaries at VIVE LATINO, one of the largest music festivals in Latin America. Founded in 2006 by Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna and Pablo Cruz, Ambulante has become the documentary film festival with the largest scope in Mexico and a unique exhibition space in the world since 60% of its screenings are for free in order to make this genre more accessible for everyone.

Eligibility:
The festival is no competitive. To be eligible for submission the documentary film must be 30 minutes or over. Submissions must have been completed in 2011 or 2012. There are no requirements for the subject matter of the entries.

Formats:
Formal and conceptual creativity and innovation will be considered during the selection process. Ambulante does not accept institutional or publicity films, nor works in a television format.
