I storyboard, and design film and tv sets. My sketchbooks are full of the character and environment settings of both cinema and literary worlds, they are my own original storyboard collection of festival travel sketches, with pen and paper.

Nesta's Sketch Collection covers The Berlinale Talent Campus, Edinburgh Film & Literature Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Viennale Festival, London BFI Film Festival, Discovering Latin America Film Festival, Hay on Wye Literary Festival at Hay ... the International Film Festival Summit talks and the fictional San Lorenzo Festival... aswell as various Key London cultural events, Millers Academy of Arts and Science, Intelligence Squared and YouGovStone. Spotlight at the Short Film Corner, Cannes 2010

Spotlight is a short 6'18" of some live animated moments of reel time at Cannes Film Festival.

I have caricatured the festival live over the last few years, and the film Spotlight draws together some of these highlights with an introduction to a game of Boules ... live recordings of Cannes Piano music... and with lights the characters move into the spotlight...

Spotlight is the first in Nesta's Spotlight collection of film, art, and lighting; from Cannes,to Venice, Vienna, Berlin, Edinburgh and London - all artwork is inspired by myvisual appreciation of film, and the festival showcase.

It is a pleasure that the festival have selected my appreciation of their festival to be in the Short Film Corner, and I hope I may have the opportunity to share my art and dialogue on film with you at the Short Film Corner this year.
