Industry Events at LocarnoOpen Doors Factory Besides taking care of the film industry professionals attending the Festival, the Industry Office has for a number of years organized various events in partnership with the Open Doors program, such as Open Doors Factory. This co-production workshop will also invite a special guest: the Cinéfondation from Cannes. Through the presence of the top European producers, the Industry Office offers the directors and producers of the projects selected a concrete opportunity to sign co-production agreements. In 2007, close to 200 successful meetings were organized by the Industry Office within the context of Open Doors thanks to the support of producers’ associations such as the EAVE (Les Entrepreneurs de l’Audiovisuel Européen) and ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen). MEDIA Event : Spotting the Right Training from Script Development to Co- and Postproduction In collaboration with the Industry Office, MEDIA Antenna Berlin-Brandenburg and MEDIA Desk Suisse, together with MEDIA Antenna Torino have organised an information event at this year’s festival, at which a selection of MEDIA-supported advanced training programmes with various focal points will be presented. The event will be held in Hotel Belvedere at 2.30 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2008. The deadline for registration is August 6. 2008.
