Director of the Avignon Film Festival, Jerome while in Cannes presented his festival to our reporter: its intent to bring French, American and European filmmakers together in a mutual collaboration spirit; that it is an expanded event as Avignon if one of nine European Cities of Culture for the year 2000, including 3 awards aimed aiding filmmakers make their next film.

Since he took over in 1996, Cannes Market boss Jerome Paillard has not been one to let things drift. Each year he has brought either major changes or minor adjustments designed to make the Cannes Market more efficient, easier to use and more internationally oriented.
