Michele Laroque

French Actrice

The star of Ma Vie en Rose talks about her personal experiences.

Q: When did you first come to Cannes and why?
A: For Roger Planchon's Loui L'Enfant Roi in 1992. We were in the official selection. The film had attracted a lot of attention and I remember being very emotional walking up the steps

Q: What is your most memorable Cannes experience?
A: My best memory is the 10-minute standing ovation at the Quinzaine des Realisateurs for Ma Vie En Rose. The whole crew had tears in their eyes. Alain Berliner couldn't believe it and when we all went up on stage. He looked at me for assurance that it was really happening or to wake him up
