THE SHORT FILM CORNER

The Short Film Corner launched in May 2004 and was very successful in its first edition.
The Short Film Corner is a new market entirely dedicated to short films.

An overall panorama of short films today
In 2004, the Short Film Corner presented some 450 films, representing over 100 hours of programs, from 40 different countries. Films were viewed more than 5 000 times by buyers and film selectors from all over the world. More than one hundred films were screened as world premieres.

Privileged contacts
At the very heart of the Palais des Festivals, the Short Film Corner is an exceptional occasion for producers to present their films to a large international audience: broadcasters, publishers, film selectors, journalists, producers, agents looking for new talents…

A specialised center
Le Short Film Corner covers a large area and is made up of a screening room, interactive screens, a bar, a conference room, stands. Every evening, the traditional "Happy Hour" means discussions can be continued and new contacts made in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, glass in hand!

Top Visibility
The database of www.shortfilmcorner.com gives you all details regarding companies, films, projects… from all professionals registered to the Marché du Film.

A catalogue and information in the press
The Short Film Corner catalogue lists all the short films and screening times. This information will also be published in the daily editions of the Film Français and Cannes Market News.

Registration benefits
The Short Film Corner includes registration with the Festival de Cannes.
Free access to all exhibition zones of the Festival and the Marché.
Attend screenings of the various other selections.

For further information
Your film can also have a free screening in one of the thematic programs, realized in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada.
Your film has the possibility of being selected in one of the thematic programs, realized in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada.
These programs will be presented in the Short Film Corner screening room.
In order to optimize the broadcasting of these films, this selection will have a priority target audience of TV buyers and Festival selectors.
Short films which are not part of another program and which are presented for the first time as a world premiere will be given extra emphasis in this selection.
