SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-CINEMA FESTIVAL

Digital cinema provides opportunities for filmmaking for young talent and discovering new expression.

The SKIP CITY was created with the main aim of contributing to the evolution of the audio-visual related industry as a core industry in the modern era.
This complex consists of industrial, administrative and academic facilities, opened in Kawaguchi City, Saitama, Japan in February 2003.
The SKIP CITY is located 50 minutes from Tokyo.
As the nucleus of the SKIP CITY, the Sai-No-Kuni Visual Plaza consists of facilities such as the Studio, Audio Visual Hall, Edit Suites and aims to produce top creators capable to becoming part of the new era of audio-visual production.

SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2006 seeks Digital cinema combining entertainment and digital technology through international competition screenings and awarding filmmakers and their works. The total cash prize of USD 150,000 is given.
D-Contents Market, a meeting place of talent and business, will also be held.
All the nominees will be screened on a large screen with the sate-of-the-art digital cinema projector and sound system. We would like to encourage you to participate.

Festival is actively seeking feature Digital Cinema, which was shot and produced by digital from around the world.

Feature Competition (International)
All feature length submissions must have been produced for theatrical release. All submissions must have been shot in digital and be able to project in digital format. All feature length submissions must be 80 minutes or longer. The submissions which have not yet had a theatrical release in Japan are accepted.

Short Competition (Domestic)
Only domestic submissions (films produced in Japan) are accepted.
All submissions must have been shot in digital and be able to project in digital format.
All feature length submissions must be less than 60 minutes.

Submission deadline is February 17, 2006

Please download the entry form and fill it out completely for each entry. Original signature of the applicant is required.

Material requested for pre selection
DVD with English subtitle is acceptable format for pre-selection.
Exceptions can be made for DV tape.
