Short Shorts Film Festival EXPO 2005, Asia’s most exciting
event for short films, is proud and excited to announce a special
environmental film festival at the World’s Fair in Japan. The
greatest eco-shorts on the planet will screen nightly for several
months in an outdoor theatre at EXPO 2005 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
This competitive, international festival is filmmaker friendly sponsoring
airfare for several filmmakers to Japan, and with no year of production
requirements and NO ENTRY FEES for applicants.
Founded
in 1999, the Short Short Film Festival has grown to become one of
the largest short film events in Asia, reaching audiences of 130,000.
Our mission is to present the best in recent short film from around
the globe. In 2004, Short Shorts proudly became a qualifying festival
for the Short Films category for the Annual Academy Awards®.
The
Short Shorts Film Festival EXPO 2005 is a special, one-time-only festival.
We are seeking the world’s greatest environmental short films.
Our overriding theme is “Nature’s Wisdom”, films
dealing with topics of “nature”, “environment”,
“humanity” and “love” are eligible to apply.
The
World’s Fair at EXPO 2005 in Japan will celebrate the cultural
and technological endeavors of humankind. We feel that film is one
of the greatest contributions to the world in modern times. The Short
Shorts Film Festival EXPO 2005 will showcase the world’s greatest
short films under the theme “Nature’s Wisdom” in
an effort to entertain and enlighten audiences.
