Mission
Statement:
The first
annual Boulder Adventure Film Festival premiers the third week
in April at the historic Boulder Theater in Boulder Colorado!
This international forum for the best and most inspiring independent
films of the year will encompass all aspects of adventure, from
serious exploration to environmental heroism to gripping tales
from the edges of the believable. The film festival was created
by adventurers and filmmakers in order entertain, educate and
inspire.
We hope you
will celebrate with us the fantastic and, even more importantly,
true stories of people and passion.’
To acknowledge and spread the creativity, enthusiasm, and activism
inherent in Adventure is our mission. Join us.
Dirt Days is the festival's adventure fair
and is rooted in the Earth Day mission – healthy, sustainable
environment, clean energy, mobilizing people and ideas. The fairgrounds
in the park will be a bustling showcase of competitions, music,
gear demos, book signings and controlled chaos. A visitor will
be able to take a climbing class, learn about a solar oven, then
turn around and join the Flatirons mountain trail race.
With films
from around the globe, adventure challenges, community collaboration
and keynote speakers, this will be Boulder's annual outdoor event
that is recognized worldwide.

Submit a Film:
Submission deadline is March 1st, 2005
The Boulder Adventure Film Festival is currently in the process
of selecting films for screening at our Spring 2005 festival.
Short films… 20 minutes or less… are greatly preferred,
but longer films will be considered.
Submission is free.
Finalists will be screened at the historic Boulder Theater Spring
2005. Opportunities will exist for the filmmakers to sell copies
of their film at the screening. Finalists will receive two passes
to the screening. Prizes will be awarded for best films.
Please download
the entry form pdf
file, print it out, sign it and include it in your submission
package. Include 2 - DVD-R copies of your film and 2 - 300dpi
(4"x6") jpeg images from your film in the package.
