Carlos de Muns has been appointed general manager of Sogepaq International, the biggest international sales operation in the Spanish-language world.
De Muns will oversee the company's overseas push on its big Spanish or English-language pics, such as Manuel Gomez Pereira's Love Can Seriously Damage Your Health, which will receive its international premiere at the AFM, or Alex de la Iglesia's Tex-Mex Perdita Durango, now in post-production and starring Rosie Perez.
De Muns has extensive industry experience having worked as general manager at Elias Querejeta's ESICMA production and sales house and at Spanish rights broking outfit, Cinepaq. Sogepaq International is a division of sales and distribution Sogepaq, part of Spain's giant Sogecable conglom.
